Me and my girls!

We are the ladies of the house...poor Wade. He is gonna need a lot of prayers in about 12 years when Nora and Audrey hit the "Hormonal " phase! ;)
Anyway, just thought it was a cute little picture and we are all lookin' good!
Things are going great for us. I have quickly realized that 2 kids are a lot more work than 1. Thank goodness my Mom has been here to help. When she leaves I guess I just won't have time to eat!! ;) Well, that's one way to lose the baby weight! ;)

Garden Brunch

I have made some wonderful friends here in Arkansas, two of whom offered to throw me a baby shower for little Audrey. It was a Garden Brunch and it was so beautiful. The day before it was cold and rainy, but the day of the brunch was absolutely gorgeous!! It was a prefect day! There was a great turnout with some wonderful gifts. I am really thankful for the fabulous friends I have made here while settling into our new town!

Audrey Sleeping

I had to post this picture! Audrey looks so adorable and peaceful. It is very challenging taking a good picture of a newborn. I mean, they don't even pose for you! ;) I am still trying to get a good one with her eyes open. She is extra cute with her big eyes staring at you. When I get that picture I will post it ASAP!

Sister's!

Thought you might enjoy some pictures Nora and Audrey. They are already acting like sisters. Nora constantly wants to hold Audrey and annoy her! When Nora holds Audrey, she acts all annoyed. I seriously think she has even rolled her eye's on occasion! ;)

The Rest of our Hospital Stay

About 36 hours after my c-section and about 48 hours since I last ate...Finally solid foods! Yummy! It was the best Chicken Parmigan EVER!!
Day 2... First Family Photo! Nora loves to hold and hug her baby sister!
Packing up and going home on day 3! Audrey doesn't seem to mind the car seat! Nora still hates the car seat! ;)
You gotta love the wheel chair service!! Holla Mercy Hospital! Our new little family in front of our home on a beautiful springtime day. Next on my agenda...get a tan!!! ;)

We are all home now and doing great! The only problem we have noticed with Nora and her little sister is that Nora "loves" her too much! She always want to hold her and pick her up and smother her with kisses. I know it could be WAY worse. We are really fortunate Nora is such a good little helper and loving big sister!

All my drugs from surgery have now worn off so I am in a little bit of pain. Luckily, Wade has all week off and Mom is here until the beginning of May! And it certainly helps that Audrey is a sleeping champ! I really start to worry about her sometimes b/c I am SO not used to a sleeping newborn!;) I was actually able to come home from the Hospital and take a nap. Who would have thought!

All is well...so far! We'll see how life is once all my helpers leave! ;)

Audrey's First Day

Audrey Evelyn was born at 8:03 am yesterday morning!! She was 6 lbs 10 oz and 20 inches long. I had a c-section and everything went wonderfully! I had a great nurse and very relaxing anesthesiologist!! Of course my Doctor was great too! Her pediatrician showed up also and checked her out yesterday and this morning. So far she is in great condition. A perfect Child!

It is absolutely amazing to me how you can have children from the same to parents, yet they are so different. Audrey looks nothing like Nora. Nora looked just like her father and the Bolinger family at birth. Audrey looks just like a Schafer baby. They also act differently. Audrey seems to be a little bit more patient, but time will tell for sure!

But all is well here. I have had a shower and am walking around. Other than the fact that I still haven't been able to eat solid food, I am in great condition!!

Here are some pictures of her first day. There will be many more posts in the upcoming days!
