Woo Pig Sooie

I know, I know, all of my Bama friends are gonna be so annoyed with this post... just bare with me! ;) We moved here to NW Arkansas about 2 years ago. Last year was the first football season we lived here and I had about a 5 month old, so we'll just say I wasn't as social as I usually am. But this year we are SUPER excited about football season and hope to go to all the home games (well, mostly me...isn't this opposite in most households??) I didn't so much care about the team at hand, but I love a good college football game, at the stadium not on TV. But this year the Razorback Mascot turned 1oo years old and there was a HUGE celebration here in Fayetteville. Well, we were sold at that point! Especially Nora! She loved everything about it; the cheerleaders (like a moth to a flame), the Razorback Mascot, even the marching band. We have a CD of the marching band and all the chants and Nora BEGS me to play it all the time. She knows how to "call the HOGS" better than any of us!

I know it may seem as though I am a traitor, as I am from Alabama and being raised in Alabama I should have loyalty to either Auburn or Alabama. But, lets be honest... I never really cared for either. At any Iron bowl I was probably rooting for the team my "crush of the week" was rooting for. And you know good and well Wade doesn't care about his Alma Mater, the Air Force Academy, which he likes to refer as his own personal Hell!! Haha, Poor Guy! Anyway, we now dub ourselves a family of Razorback fans! We stake claim to the HOG Nation!!! WHOO PIG SOOIE!!!

Tailgating
Wade and I at the Stadium. We were in the additional Student section (aka nosebleed section) as Wade is a student getting his masters. What??? I am not above $1 tickets!! Sitting in the Student Section was actually quite fun! At times I felt like i was in college again, but other times I felt so old b/c I always feel 18 or so, but when you are around a bunch of "for real" 18 year olds...not so much!

Outside the Stadium with the girls and their cheerleading outfits! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Schafer!!! They LOVE them!

At the Razorback Mascot Festival
The Girls and I with the mascot

Noras Razorback face painting...she picked out the PINK razorback!
One of the many pictures I have of Nora with Cheerleaders! She now has her own cheerleading outfit!!
All in all, I guess what I am saying is that...when your 3 year old jumps for joy when she sees a Razorback, it makes you want to jump for joy too!!! ;) It's all about family fun!!!

31 and still having fun!!

September 6th was my 31st b-day and I have to say we I had a blast! I was a little worried about it considering my 30th b-day was exciting and tons of fun; so I was afraid it would all be down hill from there. I know silly, but be honest, you all felt the same way!! ;) Anyway, the night before my birthday my friend Lisa planned a birthday dinner for me. We went to a new bar/grill place with a great patio and the arkansas football game on (a must around these parts). Later we went to SOUL and had the best creme brulee EVER and a jazz rendition of "Happy Birthday" was sang to me...so fun!! My actual Birthday was on a Sunday, so Wade had some folks over for breakfast to celebrate... I guess there is one good thing about having church at 1:30! ;) He was very sweet, it was a total surprise and then we had a brownie cake he made for me b/c Well, I LOVE BROWNIES!!!

Me and some girlfriends
My new TRENDY clutch and a gift card!!! Thanks Lisa and Kimberlee. And what do you think of that double chin there?!?! ;)
The breakfast club
Wade cookin' up some good stuff... such a sweet guy!! I love you!
The fabulous brownie cake... it's an original!!! ;)
I also celebrated a week later with some great girlfriends from church. They took me out to dinner and then to see a movie!!! Sorry I didn't take a picture, but thanks girls!!!

Sole Sisters Run Again

On Labor Day I ran a 10K for "Run for a Child". All proceeds went to Northwest Arkansas children's shelter. I ran the 5K last year and decided to push myself a little more this year. Let me be CLEAR on this...I do not enjoy running!!!! I enjoy the challenge, the atmosphere, and the feeling when I cross the finish line, but I hate all the running that is actually involved!!! ;) Anyway, It was a great way to complete my 31st Birthday weekend...More on that later! So here are some pics to document my first 1ok. yes, I am gonna do another one just because I know I can do better. Blast that stickin' voice inside me that tells me to do better...

The Sole Sisters! We are a bunch of Latter Day Saint Women from all over Northwest Arkansas. Only about half the girls are actually in the picture. The group gets bigger and bigger every year! Some I know, some I don't know. After only about 1 1/2 miles into the Race I got the WORST stomach cramps EVER!! A sweet woman, Amanda (I barely know her..but we all had pink shirts so we "know" each other) came up behind be and encouraged me. It completely touched my heart. Pause...It just makes me thinks of how united early LDS pioneer women probably were when they trekked across the plains and probably had to encourage one another to keep moving forward and put their faith in God. Cheesy, I know!! But it's funny how you can find gospel principles in almost any situation. Anyway, here we are...

Springdale Group: Apryll and her daughter did the 5K together...so sweet, Jane, and me...Toni, Where were you during picture time??? Oh, probably being the only prepared one and standing in line for the restroom! Thanks for letting me brake line!
Jane and I were the Springdale 10K runners. Both first timers and I think we did great!

Nora patiently waiting for me at a water stop!
Finally, I made it to the water station! Nora was so excited to see me, but I think I was more excited to see them!
Crossing the finish line. Nora crossed it withe me, she likes to do that!
Audrey enjoying the "after the race" treats!
MY FAMILY! They were so good at encouraging and supporting me! I love my hubby and my girls!

Photography Blog

I have friend in the photography business (and by friend I mean a fellow photog I met while standing in line at Branson...she is way nice!!) and she gave me some advice on marketing myself and gave me ideas to spruce up my blog. So I did what she suggested and it looks great!!! Well, I may be biased....but if you want to see the facelift please click HERE. Also, feel free to leave a comment either here or on that blog to tell me how much you love it as I am SUPER proud of myself! Hey, we have to brag about ourselves sometime, don't we???
