Tutu Love

The Girls and I were at boutique the other day and saw some Tutu's for sale. Well, they were SUPER cute, but also super expensive considering they are made of elastic and tulle. Maybe I would have found them affordable if I only had one little girl, but I have TWO and they do NOT share! So I told them Mommy would make them some. Now, I know many friends who have made them, but I have NEVER. But I figured it couldn't be that hard considering, again, that they are mainly elastic and tulle. So I took a gander at how the ones at the boutique were made and then we busted on over to our local Wal-Mart. Probably one of the last that has a fabric department. I was shocked to find out how cheap elastic and tulle REALLY is. CRAZY...like 97 cents a yard. Anywho, I bought everything I needed for 2 tutu's (plus some things I didn't need, I mean it is Wal-Mart) and spent about 1/4 of what they cost at the boutique...for ONE! I was PUMPED, now I just needed to successfully put it all together.

Well, after much frustration in cutting tulle I found it to be rather easy. Seriously, that tulle is a pain in the butt! The stuff sticks together like crazy. Anyway, I got done with both tutu's, not with out a meltdown from a certain 2 year old before I made her's. She literally was beside herself while Nora was wearing (and of course flaunting) her tutu!

Nora actually had a little princess fairy dance camp today so she got to wear her tutu! Who knew $15 of tulle and elastic could make little girls so happy?!?! :)

Nora before her dance camp... SO excited to wear her tutu AND go to Dance camp!!!
Close up!!

Audrey's tutu. I didn't dare put in on her to take pics. I've learn the hard way that she is NOT very cooperative whilst taking pictures! ;)
Had to get a close up on her's too. Ya know...everything has to be even!

Toy Story3 @ the Drive In

We have been so excited to see Toy Story 3!! We have the DVD for 1 and 2 and Nora LOVES them. So when I realized that the Drive in was playing it on opening night I knew we had to go!! Some friends of ours went with us. They are fellow Drive in Guru's. We LOVE the Drive in!!! You can't beat $12 bucks a car. That's about as much as ONE ticket in the movie theaters. We put the girls in their PJ's, pop a bunch of popcorn, bring a bunch of candy and drinks, and pack up our lawn chairs. Seriously, it is instant family fun!! And Toy Story 3 did not let us down. It was JUST as good if not better than the first two.
My girls LOVE to be held!
The kids made a lounge are in the back of our car!
Nora posing in her lawn chair. She's has started this posing thing in ever picture. She is gonna be such a flirt!!

Hoe Down!!

Nora's pre school has a hoe down at the end of every year. For the kids that aren't graduating they sing songs to us they've learned throughout the year and then we have a carnival and yummy food to eat! They get cute little cowboy hats and handkerchiefs to take home. And of course they give us a memorable performance that only a parent could love. I took video of some of the songs and I was watching them I was laughing and thinking how cute Nora is. But a part of me knew that someone else might just think its a bunch of kinds that barely know their songs and are just standing on stage. That's what's great bout being a parent I guess! You think your kids are SO CUTE and GREAT at everything they do!! Yep, our girls are gonna have no choice but to have high self esteem they way we gloat over them! :)

Wade was gone for 2 weeks with the Army National Guard so he wasn't able to make it. But that's what videos are for aren't they?! :)

This is about as good as it gets when it come to taking a pic with these sisters together! :) Doesn't Audrey look SO happy?!

All about me!!

Yep...sorry grandparents and children enthusiasts..this post is all about me. See I don't usually like to complain (unless your my hubby, of course), but as of late I really feel like it!! :) Maybe I'm just heartless, but I don't really think everyone wants to know about every bad day I have just as I don't really need to know about every bad day of yours. I do however, like to hear about your bad days if you really need to vent, or if it is really bad, or if you just need some help. It's the trivial things annoy me...that's why Facebook and I don't get along sometimes! :)Maybe it's because I'm a fixer and I feel a little helpless if I can't help you out with your problem. When I think about it I really am not the BEST listener...it's b/c I can only listen so long without trying to help!! And most people don't want help, they just want to vent. It's a lesson I am slowing learning in life!! :)

Anyway, I'm gonna be honest...this has been a HARD pregnancy so far. I mean, it's just been one thing after another. First it started with the normal "ickyness" of pregnancy. I really can't complain about that b/c we all go through it, I just had to pay my dues. But just as I started to feel a little better, BAM, I get a kidney stone. That began over the mothers day weekend which started out feeling like a UTI and then slowly progressed to the equivalency of being stabbed in my lower abdomen. good news was pain killers, bad news was throwing up all night as it made me nauseous. I wouldn't even know which I would choose if I had to: extreme pain or vomiting. After feeling so nauseous the next day, I almost preferred the pain. Anyway, it all passed (and I mean that literally...lol) only to find in the next couple days I had a bladder infection, probably from passing the stone. What's really hilarious (or not so much) is that my Dr. told me it was a rare bacteria that caused it. Not your typical bladder infection....YAY me!

Last week I really started feeling better except for the major nauseousness I battle at night (what is that about?) Good news is I can go to sleep! So I was feeling great and then BAM AGAIN, I got a HORRIBLE headache last Sunday...It lasted 2 days. So Tuesday I was feeling pretty good and now I have a pretty bad sinus infection!!! What the HECK!!!!

So basically I am pretty much WAY over the drama my body is putting me through!! My hubby has been great, but ladies out there, you know how it is...Men just don't get it! Today he said, " this pregnancy has really given you are hard time hasn't it" THANK YOU!!! Just hearing that coming out my my man's mouth made me happy. I don't know why...but I think you other mothers out there probably get it! :)

So needless to say..I know I am gonna get through this, time just needs to hurry UP!!!! This child should know how much it is loved and wanted to CHOOSE to go through this a THIRD time. Sometimes I think I was drugged when we decided this was a good idea! :) Just teasing! All I know is that this child better grow up to cure cancer or be the future leader of the Free world to make up for all I went through! haha!!!

So enough about me! I have a lot to blog about in the future...Nora's preschool hoe down, the wilderness safari, and swim time!! :) Thanks goodness summer is here!!
