The iphone chronicles

So, I'm starting a new segment...hahaha, don't I sound like I'm some uber popular blogger??  Anywho, I am calling it, "The iphone chronicles"!  Who out there takes a TON of pictures with their phone and then it just stays there?  We'll I say, "NO MORE"!!  I took these pictures for a reason and so I'm gonna blog them dang it!! :)  Seriously though, we take these pictures b/c at that moment our kids were doing something SUPER cute or we want to remember something.  Sometimes I share them on Facebook, but I can't share them all on FB because then everyone would think I have no life! Let's be honest, they probably do anyway! ;)

So here we go...

Iphone Chronicles, round 1:

My sweet little Elise LOVES Wade's PT belt.  Or whatever it's called.  It's what those military guys have to wear when they are having PT (physical training).  She literally digs it out of his bag ALL the time.  Oh, and don't think we put it on her.  She has it down pat.  She wears it as a necklace.  She's already so girlie! :)

I was riding through a neighborhood the other day and I spotted this house.  I LOVE it!!  I love how it has that little area off to the side.  I'm thinking it's the Master suite?

My Mom made this dress for me and I've been getting all kinds of compliments on it!  I wore it the other day with a camel color belt and camel boots (yep, it's fall) and it was WAY cute!  I took this picture to text to my mom...hehe!  Go Momma!! :)

So I've been trying to make the prefect bread.  This was yummy bread, but flat.  I tried again, it rose a little more, but it still ended a little flat too, oh, and burnt (URGH!).  I'm not giving up though, I am determined to make the perfect loaf of bread!

If this little dress is clean, then you can BET Audrey is gonna wear it.  It's her FAVORITE little dress.  It's actually getting a little short.  We'll have to wear it with leggings or jeans before too long.  Anyway, I just love what she did with her dress this day to accessorize it and change it up a bit.  I LOVE the tape measure belt.  She totally found it and wrapped it around herself and asked me to tie it.  She wore it all day...hahaha!  oh!  And notice her matching watch..It's all plastic!  ;) I love that little girl!

Elise was trapped under this blanket and it was so cute watching her trying to get out from under it!  I snapped this picture right as she pulled it off her head!  Too cute!

It's cooling off here a little so we busted out Elise's bright green leg warmers.  I thought they were so cute with her bright pink onsie.  so, of course, in true Mom Fashion, I had to take a picture.  I really like the effect Instagram gave it!  BTW, I LOVE that app! :)

Lately, my girls are SOOOOOO into dress up!  This was one of their many outfits that day!  I love that they have so much fun together!

Audrey took dress up to the next level this day!  She seriously did this "getup" all by herself!  She did ask me to tie the sash on her, but that was before she put on all the other stuff!  So I cracked up when she came walking into my room like this.  Such a NUT!

I hung this up the other day in my laundry room and for some reason it makes me smile when I see it! I don't know why.  Maybe I just think it's cute to see their jackets all hung up together and the fact that it's hung at just the right height for them.  In any case, I smile when I walk into my laundry room! :)

Elise was throwing a little fit the other day while Wade was home.  He just laid her face down in the pillow.  I guess she creid herslef into a tizzy and then to sleep... right in the middle of our living room! Yes, that's how he deals with temper tantrums.  He started it with Audrey.  To this day, when she throws a fit, she'll throw herself on a pillow and scream!  haha!

I caught Audrey tickling Elise!!  Just adorable!!  Again, LOVE instagram!!

That's it for this volume of "the iphone chronicles"! Stay tuned for next time for an indepth look into the everyday lives of the Bolinger family!! :)  I have to say, I kinda feel bad that Nora is at school all day, b/c I don't get a chance to take as many pics with her.  But, I have WAY more stories of the things she says and does, so I guess it just evens out!

I'm Movin' on up...

In years that is!! I turned 33 a couple weeks ago. I'm gonna be middle-aged before I know it!! We went to Atlanta that weekend to visit some friends of ours. We're really excited to be living in Augusta bc that means we can visit with them more often. Jonathan and Wade were actually roommates at the Air Force Academy. So I inherited them as friends! They are such a cool family and our kids play really well together!

Anyway, Jonathan's bday was during the weekend too, so we celebrated together. He is a huge Avenged Sevenfold (A7X) fan and we brought him A7X gift. So his wife, Amy, made us a cool A7X cake. She's s very talented baker/ cake decorator!

Our Cake!   Isn't it cool?  The top half was mine all mine!

The Birthday Peeps!  He's saying "Rock On", but apparently I'm saying, "Hang Ten".  Yeah, I'm middle aged all right!

Once we got home Wade took me to one of our favorite restaurants, Bonefish Grill...yumm! Love me some bang bang shrimp! Anyway, He totally surprised me with a little cake and a gift! What gift, you ask? An ihome!!! Yeah, he's a pretty awesome hubby! We had a really great night including free salads and creme brûlée! All bc our salads came after the dinner. They sure do aim to please, love establishments likte that!

My cute little cake.  Wade always does a GREAT job!!  He told the bakery that I was an adult and I liked flowers and cute things!  hahaha!  Sounds about right! ;)

The girls would have celebrated at dinner with us, but given the choice of going with us OR playing at a friends house, they chose to play with friends. I see where their loyalty lies! Haha! Truth be told, I kind of preferred the time away with my hubby!

It was a GREAT Birthday Weekend!

Sweet Things

The girls have been saying/doing the sweetest things lately.  I'm afraid that I'll forget them, so I wanted to put them in my blog.  I have to say I've had to write them down on scratch peices of paper just so I don't forget them before I blog it!  I've already forgottten a couple, I'm sure, but here's a few...

The other day I asked Audrey what she wanted to be when she grew up and her reply was, "Like Nora!"  Her little voice was so sweet and honest.  She really meant it!  It  made my heart so warm and fuzzy.  Those 2 always fight, but they love each other so much!  You just gotta love sisters! :)

One evening we were sitting outside enjoying the cooler weather and Nora lays back in her chair and says, "What a wonderful day, mommy!  You can just lay back, close your eyes, and relax" I had to do a double take and make sure that was my FIVE year old sitting there.  She is growing up so FAST, it's CRAZY!!

The other day I also asked Nora to do someting for me, I can't remember what, but at first her reply was "No" because she was doing someting else. After a brief moment, she said, "of course, if you really want me to, I will".  I was so proud of her!   She is gonna be such a good big sister. It's that Audrey that's gonna give me a run for my money when she's a teenager! LOL!

Wade took the girls camping this weekend (more on that in another post...stay tuned) and it was just Elise and I for about a day and a half.  It was wonderful. The last time I had just ONE baby, I didn't know how to enjoy it b/c being a new mom is a little stressfull.  But, as a mother of 3, MUCH has changed.  That can be a whole blog post as well...hahaha!  Anyway, at one point we were just sitting on the couch together and I looked down at her and she was just looking up just staring at me.  She smiled when I saw her and she continued to stare.  It was so sweet to me.  That little baby girl just LOVES to be around me!  She's pretty laid back, but I have to be in the SAME room as her at all times.  Yeah, sometimes it's a little much, but most of the time I secretly LOVE it! :)

This isn't really a "sweet" sweet comment, but it TOTALLY blew my mind!

When Nora first started school, she had a little trouble being quiet and still at times so she would come home with a "yellow" for dicipline.  The desired color is "green"! :)  Well, after getting a second yellow we said a prayer before school asking God to help her be quiet.  After we said it she says to me, "Mom, I just don't know if God is real, I mean, I never see him and the things we ask for don't come true".  I was FLOORED!!!  I think the fact that my child questions the existence of GOD is a good thing.  I believe that is how our relationship with Him and our faith in Him grows.  But, the fact that my child is only 5?  That's CRAZY!!!  I mean, isn't that a little deep for a 5 year old?  She is a smart one and a thinker, like her Daddy!  Anyway, I told her that's what Faith is for and reminded her of things that HAD come true that we had prayed for.  So, she went on her way to school.  When she came home that day she had a GREEN in discipline.  I reminded her about our conversation that morning.  She just smiled and laughed and said, "I know, Mommy"! :)  I'm actually really proud of her and it was a lesson to me that God answers all our prayers.  No matter how big or small.  I know he answered a little 5 year old's prayer that day and strengthened not only her faith, but her 33 year old mother's faith, as well!

Elise is 9 months...ALREADY!

Elise turned NINE months old August 29th!  Can you believe it??  I sure can't!  Time goes so much FASTER with every child you have.  Especially when you know your baby is your last!!  She is growing too fast.  I can't believe I'm about to say this, but...I want to keep her in this baby stage FOREVER!!  A hard as babies are, I've leaned that it's the best stage b/c then they grow up and talk back and have their own opinions and even don't really think you're all that cool to be around sometimes!!   Nora still loves be to be around, but I have seen glimpse's of a life soon to come where I am the "uncool" mom!!  SAD!  I want to always be the "cool" mom.  Oh well!

WE haven't had her 9 month check up yet, but she's about 20 pounds!  Tall and skinny!! :)  SHE LOVES food!  She don't play when it's time to eat!  She's a very persistent little girl.  If she wants something she will bring you to it.  If she doesn't want something she will push it away.  It's so funny how they have such huge personalities at this age.

9 MONTHS!

She's still got those eyes!!

My little ballerina!  Speaking of, I've GOT to remember to get Nora enrolled in dance!!!  Eek, such a bad mom!! ;)

In her crib, she LOVES her crib!!

This is about as good as a portrait gets.  She is just SOOOOO mobile.  I wanted to get the perfect picture of her sitting up in her pretty little dress and the minute I'd let go she was on the move.  Geeze!

I love this picture b/c it shows all 3 of her teeth!  SO adorable!

She is standing like a champ now.  She can actually take about 3 to 5 steps.  But, of course, every time I try to get a video of her walking she falls and won't get back up...seriously!! It's annoying!

Bustin' a move!!  Ok, so she's really just loosing her balance, but isn't it hilarious?!!  She looks like she should be on the dance floor somewhere! :)

What's up?!  I just thought this pic was too cute!  Before I know it she's gonna be 1 year old!  Ugh, hating it!! :)
