outfit for Audrey

So late last night I was on etsy looking for a bday outfit for Audrey!  Can you believe she will be 3 on Sunday...craziness!!  Anyway, first was just looking at iron on's for a bday shirt.  Then I found one so I decided that she needed something cute to put on the bottom  I thought of a tutu at first, but then I thought some of those cute pants with ruffles on them would be perfect.  But they would cost about $30 to buy them.  SO I thought I would try my hand at sewing.  I'm not a totally new to sewing, but I've never sewn anything "solo".  My mom or a friend was always there to hold my hand.  But, I figured it was time.

Once I'm up for a challenge it's a done deal.  So I woke up this morning, went to hobby lobby and got my supplies.  After a fun trip to fun city I came home put my 2 youngest down for a nap and sent Nora to the neighbor's house and got busy!!  Wade came home cooked some dinner AND cleaned the kitchen AND got the kids ready for bed, just so I could finish these pants.  He's been married to me long enough to know I'm a little obsessive compulsive.  it's hard for me to stop a project until I'm finished!!

So here's the final project...

But, I'm more excited about this...

This is the iron on printable that I'm gonna put on a cute white shirt!  Isn't it gonna go GREAT with those pants?  We're gonna throw a party for Audrey on the 16th.  Yeah, that's right...2 whole weeks after her birthday.  I just couldn't get it together until...well, now! :)  ha!  I just have to figure out who to invite.  Audrey is not like her older sister.  She loves playing with friends, yes...but she doesn't make BBF's with every person she meets.  A lot of times they are her sister's friends that she plays with...poor thing!  There aren't any girls her age at church (Nora has about 7 girls her age at church).  So I'm gonna invite her preschool class and hope that a few come!!

Just for memories!

First off, I have to give a big shout out to Julie with Lee Lou Blogs.  I bought a  3 column template through them about a year ago and I wanted to change it to a 2 column so I could make my pictures bigger.  Well, I figured I would have to pay them or just buy a new one.  But Julie emailed me and told me she would just fix it for me for FREE!!  Now that is customer service!  I HEART my big pictures!!

Anyway, my friend Adriane recently emailed me this picture she took of Wade and I on Halloween.  I was BIG TIME preggers!  But I have to say I was SHOCKED at how I looked!!  I mean, for as huge and ugly as I felt, I don't think I looked half bad!  So I thought I would post it on my blog.  No, not so all of you out there could stare at my big belly, but rather, I just thought one day I may want to look back at how I looked preggers...in real life.  It will never happen again...LOL! :)

Not so much...

We started cereal with Elise last night.  I couldn't wait b/c I had hoped it would make her sleep longer through the night.  Also, I thought she would be WAY excited b/c she sits and stares at us while we eat, as of late.  Well...not so much!!  Not only did she act like we were feeding her worms, she woke up at 1:30 am.  What the heck?!  She usually sleeps at LEAST until 3:30.  Geeze!

I have to give her some mad props though.  Even though she didn't seem too enthused about the idea, she did eat.  And even though she looks like she's gagging in these pics, she still looks dang cute!  That takes skill ya know!

Elise looking none too thrilled to eat her cereal.

My personal fav picture...spitting it out, yet totally adorable!

 We kept on truckin'...

And I thought I would add a pic of all my girls being adorable at what they do best...being silly.  Well, that and totally annoying me beyond belief, but that is a different blog post entirely! :)

Amazing the fun kids can have with a box or a rubbermaid plastic carton!

The Luck of the Irish

Our St. Patty's day weeks started off with Audrey's Lucky day!  She was LUCKY enough to have her big sister give her a haircut.  Then, she was LUCKY enough to have a second haircut...by my hairdresser.  So Audrey now has short hair and bangs!  But, it looks really cute.  I took this pic with my cell phone before she fixed it.  In real life I am very pleased with how it turned out!  She looks like a big girl now and her hair looks much thicker too!

This morning the girls and I had GREEN pancakes!!  It was a special treat b/c usually we are cereal and pop tart kind of people for breakfast!

The batter

The pancakes

Audrey gobbling then up!

Nora kept asking for MORE!  So I guess it was a hit!!

Tonight we're gonna wash dinner down with GREEN milkshakes!  Yumm!  Anyone else notice that I am getting into a habit of celebrating each holiday with food??  What can I say?! It's fun AND Yummy!!

PS.  I really hate the lighting in my Kitchen.  I have to remember to turn the lights off the next time I take pictures there!  UGH!

Yummy!

So here it is almost midnight Sunday night!  It's "Spring Forward" time of year and I guess my body hasn't become accustomed yet!  So I thought I would share some fun things I've baked this week!!  I've never made either of these before, but I guess lately I'm up for the challenge.   They were both pretty easy too...sweet!!

My first King Cake for Mardi Gras.  I think I did a pretty good job! Recipe from Allrecipes.com

Fantabulous lemon curd made on an awesome Spring-like day!  Why curd?  It sounds so disgusting, why not lemon custard??

It was super yummy!  totally going to make more!!

The Fam and I dropped a few off at some friends house this evening.  Clearly, Sunday night is not the time to get out and go visit peeps.  We left them on a lot of doorsteps..well, a couple anyway! :)

3 whole months

Well, my sweet Elise turned 3 months old on March 1st.  Technically, I guess she's 2 months old FOREVER b/c there was no February 29th...bahahahahaha (insert evil laugh).  She has been pure joy to us!  Seriously, she is the EASIEST baby EVER.

One would think that 3 kids would be hard, but not with Elise.  She just goes with the flow.  She just cries when she's hungry or hurt or wants to be held of course.  And ya know what...I hold her whenever she wants me too!  Yep, I spoil her!  All the rules are out the window with this little girl.  I should have been "ruleless" with all my babies.  It's WAY less stressful!

It's funny how quickly you can't imagine your life without your children.  I can't imagine our family with out this little girl.  She's a prefect fit!  It does make me wonder....what if there's a 4th that is supposed to be part of our family too!  But, If I keep that thinking up I'll have 10 kids before I know it.  And I think we all know that me mothering 10 children is a big FAT joke...heck, my parents can't believe I have 3...lol!! :)

Elise LOVES her little hands.  They always find their way into her mouth!!

getting tired and/or crabby!  :(

LOVE her! :)

ps...I just thought of how she is difficult!!  The BLOWOUTS are crazy.  I mean at least one a day sometimes TWO!  UGH, it drives me up the wall.  Thanks goodness for this:

It is seriously the only thing that will get that poopy out from ALL over her clothes! :)
