Easter Morning!

I can't say we were the best planned Sunday morning, but we did all the important stuff. Nora hunted for her Easter Basket and then we had a little egg hunt in our living room (it was a little cold outside). Then we got dressed for Church and put Nora's cute little Easter Dress on! I had to take family pics which made us late for church but at least I got a pretty good shot!

After church we had a good little Easter dinner. I must admit I shocked myself a little. I didn't plan for it to be such a big dinner, but one dish after the other we ended up with a smorgasbord of yumminess!!!

Nora and the Ferocious Beast

Northwest Arkansas doesn't have a Zoo but they have the next best thing...A drive through Safari!!!! It began as a small farm in the 1960's and has now grown to over 160 acres of domestic and exotic animals. It was really more fun than I expected. They had all kinds of animals like buffalo, rhino's, camels, even lions, giraffes, and zebra's.

First, we went through the drive through part where most animals ran free. Then, we went to the petting zoo. That was were we got the cutest pictures, of course. The funniest part of the trip were the ostrich's on the drive through part. They would run right up to our car and even peck at our window. They were just as curious about us as we were about them.

It was a little chili, but a great way to spend our Saturday afternoon and kick off Easter weekend with our Family!!!

There's the funny Ostrich checking us out!

These are the curious camels. They would have stuck their heads all the way in our car if our windows had been open. Yikes!

Nora loved feeding the bunnies!

She was a little uncertain about the monkey; but if it was ok for mommy, it was ok for her!!

She was feeding the zebra but kept putting the food just barely out of his reach. Nice to see she got a little bit of her mother's mean streak. ;)

This is a video of Wade and Nora feeding the small goats (what ever they are called) at the petting zoo. She was a typical little girl at first, squealing everytime one of them moved. She eventually warmed up to them and started to pet and feed them!!

Tea Time With Nora

Nora got an Easter package from her Grandparents! In the package was the cutest little bunny tea set. This is a video of her opening the tea set. Notice how she serves her Mommy and Daddy first. We raised her so well!!! ;) Conveniently, I don't have a video of her daily 2 year old temper tantrums!! ;

PS...you have to press play twice.

Dancing Queen!!

We enrolled Nora into a dancing class this month b/c she's always dancing and twirling around the house. She loves her class. It's about 30 minutes long and it more like Simon Says than actually teaching dance. The first part of the class they put on their tap shoes and follow what Mrs. Melinda (her teacher) does. Then they put on ballet shoes and follow Mrs. Melinda again, but this time they do more gymnastic type stuff. Some mom's stay in with their child but Nora does much better if I am nowhere around. She will listen to Mrs. Melinda but not me!!! ;)

She really loves the class. I was worried she would just wander around or not follow instructions but the teacher is great and she is actually really eager to watch and learn. All week I will see her doing dance steps she learned at class. It a great outlet for Nora....and she is oh so cute in her little leotard!!!

A Springtime Tease

Saturday was a beautiful day here in Norwest Arkansas! It was sunny and warm with a perfect amount of breeze. We decided to go to a local park in the afternoon and enjoy the day. While I got ready I was so excited to not have to layer on the clothes. I got out my one pair of maternity capri pants, painted my toenails, AND I even shaved my legs!!! I literally felt skinny again even though I have a big belly. It was just nice to shed the thick jacket. I hit a childrens consignment shop they day before, so luckily Nora had an some springtime clothes that fit. Nora played on the playground for a while and then we hit a Volleyball court to play in the sand. Nora and Wade got down and dirty..literally!! We all had a blast! We could have stayed there all day. Well, Nora would have stayed there all day if we wouldn't have dug her out of the sand!! ;)

This morning we woke up to a couple inches of snow on the ground. Oh well, It was fun while it lasted!!!
